Amy and Tyson came into our West End store in Brisbane to stock up on zero-waste bulk foods for their instant restaurant. Their dinner featured lambs brains, pork jowl and a beautiful chocolate raspberry discovery for dessert.
Even though they were searching for puffed wheat, our lovely store Manager suggested our organic puffed quinoa as a great substitute to add some crunch to their main meal.
Tensions started to rise by “angry, angry man” Tyson while they debated the puffed wheat crisis with Tyson stating “ I’m not an advocate for the puffed quinoa”.
The sibling pair decided to go without the puffed quinoa and still managed to nail their dish by producing the highest score in My Kitchen Rules history by judges Chef Pete Evans and Manu Feildel!
The episode attracted over 1.4 million viewers.
We are excited that specialised bulk food shopping is becoming part of people’s regular grocery shopping routine.
We can’t wait to see how the rest of the season unfolds!
