Alfalfa seeds come from the Alfalfa plant, which is related to the pea. The alfalfa seed is probably one of the easiest of seeds to sprout, providing a crop of mild, crunchy, nutty tasting sprouts. The name alfalfa comes from the Arabic, al-fac-facah, “father of all foods.”


How to Use:

Alfalfa seeds can be eaten whole or sprouted. When used whole, add crushed alfalfa seeds to granola, salads, sandwiches or other dishes. You can even make them into a tea.
