Teff is a gluten friendly grain that has ivory and red-brown varieties. Brown teff has a slightly nutty and earthy (almost hazelnut) flavour and moist texture similar to millet and is highly nutritious. This whole grain is free of preservatives and has a low GI.

It has been used traditionally for thousands of years in Ethiopian cuisine, particularly Injera – fermented pancake-like flat bread. Brown Teff Grain has a delicious, robust nutty flavour and is highly nutritious. This whole grain has a low GI and is free of preservatives.


How To Use:

Teff can be delicious in porridge, stews, as well as a welcome accompaniment to any vegetable dishes for an added hit of protein. It can be also used as a flour to make breads and baked goods. Cook 1 cup of teff to 3 cups water. Ready in 20 minutes.
