Have you heard about Golden Milk? It’s the latest health trend with a cult following and rightly so.
Golden Milk, which is also called turmeric milk, golden mylk (the “y” is health-speak for non-cow milk), turmeric latte, golden latte or even dirty golden, is pure liquid gold!!
This ancient Ayurvedic drink is one of the best ways to incorporate turmeric into your daily diet.
Golden Milk is a delicious, restorative and warming drink. It’s perfect at night to warm you up and wind you down or in the morning as a caffeine-free kick starter. Either way, you feel like you are drinking a golden cup of goodness!
Golden milk ingredients:
1 tsp turmeric paste (see notes below)
1 cup + 3 tbsp unsweetened plant mylk (Try our nut mylk base)
1/3 – 1/2 tsp ground cardamom (to taste)
1/4 tsp organic vanilla bean powder
1 tsp coconut oil
1/2 tsp raw honey
pinch of cayenne pepper
pinch of black pepper
Combine all ingredients for the Golden Milk except the coconut oil and honey in a saucepan. Carefully heat while stirring.1
When the Golden Milk is steamy, but not boiling, pour into a cup and stir in a teaspoon of coconut oil and half a teaspoon of honey (or more if you like it sweeter!).
