Grease a large cookie sheet or baking tray with coconut oil. Combine dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add optional protein powder or hemp seeds. Add molasses to maple syrup in a jug or a bowl and stir until blended. Pour coconut oil and maple syrup mixture into dry ingredients. Stir with a wooden spoon until well combined. Scoop a tablespoon size of the biscuit mixture and gently press and round the biscuit with wet hands. Place gently onto the greased pan. Allow space between each biscuit as they will spread while cooking. Bake for 13 minutes, checking and turning the tray halfway, if needed. You want the biscuits to be evenly golden brown all over.
