Olive oil will sometimes have a cloudy appearance and thicken up if it is particularly cold. Let oil stand at room temperature for a few hours and it will clear again, or cook with it as is.
The best tasting cooking oil really depends on the recipe and personal taste. Cold-pressed coconut, sesame and macadamia oil all have distinctive flavours while sunflower or olive oil have a more subtle taste.
Many cold-pressed vegetable oils can be used for skin care including hemp, coconut, olive, sesame and almond oil.
