    How to Use:

    Bee pollen is best eaten at mealtime and especially with fruit. If you are new to it, we recommend starting with a 1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon per day, with a maximum of 1 teaspoon/day. Use bee pollen as a garnish over oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, soups and salads; blend a bit of pollen into your favourite salad dressing, or add bee pollen to your morning smoothies.

  • Australian Chia Seeds

    Chia seeds are an amazingly versatile food. Chia originated in Mexico and is botanically part of the Mint family. These Certified Organic raw seeds are sustainably grown in Peru without synthetic fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides; and are non GMO; and have nothing artificial added during processing. White Chis seeds are a paler, clearer colour when hydrated than the black seeds. Wonderful for breakfast, baking and raw foods; soak, grind or sprout these Organic seeds in a myriad of delicious recipes.

    Chia seeds can be ground, soaked or sprouted. The ground meal of Chia, called Pinole, is perfect in porridge, cakes and raw food treats. Suitable in all grain free recipes, add some to your quinoa porridge for a great start to the day, or in bread, cake and muffin mixes. Whole seeds are best eaten after soaking. Add seeds to water or juice at a ratio of 1:10 and allow to soak for a few hours, to create a gelatinous consistency to add to smoothies or juice. Dilute further in a bottle of water with sliced lime, fresh mint and lemon grass to make a refreshing spritzer. Soak seeds in coconut cream (about 1:8) for a firmer set ‘pudding’. Add cacao/ mango/banana/berries/dates, and enjoy as is; or perfect for a dairy free ‘cheesecake’ filling. Organic Chia is also fantastic sprouted. Try sprouts in salads, sandwiches, wraps, raw cracker and Essene bread recipes, or green smoothies. Hint: For a quick and easy start to busy mornings, pre-soak Chia seeds the night before.

    This kitchen starter pack of 3 wraps in varying sizes is hand-made in Australia – from Australian Organic beeswax; pure Australian jojoba oil; and Certified Organic unbleached cotton. The cotton is produced in fair-work conditions and is certified to Global Organic Textile Standards – which have inbuilt social audits. The days used for printing are also GOTS Certified and are Azo-Free.

    Beeswax, which contains inherent antimicrobial and water repellent properties, has been used to cover cheese for centuries and utilised by many ancient civilisations in cosmetic and skin products. Jojoba Oil from the jojoba nut – and technically a wax rather than an oil; is also known for its natural anti-bacterial properties.

    How to Use:

    These ecological reusable Beeswax food wraps can be used to replace plastic wrap in any kitchen application. They are suitable to cover leftovers or fresh fruit & veg before refrigerating. Wrap muffins, cakes and sandwiches for your lunchbox or picnic hamper; cover bowls while activating nuts or soaking pulses. Wrap home-made pastry to rest in the fridge, or cover a bowl of proving dough mix.                                                                                                                                              Beeswax wraps will become malleable by simply warming them in your hand as you fold around food or bowl.     Care Instructions:

In hot weather store wraps in the refrigerator. Do not leave in direct sunlight. With proper care wraps can be reused many times, for up to a year. When these food wraps have come to the end of their useful life, simply cut into pieces and add to your compost or green waste. They can also be repurposed as natural fire starters – handy when camping or for the bbq.

    This unrefined rice has a beautiful nutty flavour and is grown on a family run farm in Northern NSW.  This Bio Dyanmic rice is rain fed which means that  no irrigation water is needed to grow this rice.  It is probably the most sustainable rice grown in Australia.

    How to Use:

    Rinse a cup of medium grain brown rice until water runs clear. Place the rinsed rice in a pot with 2¼ cups of water, cover with a well-fitting lid and simmer over a low heat for 30-45 minutes. For something a little exotic, try a pilaf; cook the rice in broth instead of water and sprinkle with roasted pistachios, cranberries, raisins, cumin and fresh coriander.
